Lakewood eyes energy cost savings, considers solar arrays for municipal buildings

Lakewood, OH – After introducing a discussion about the addition of solar panels to municipal buildings this spring, Lakewood City Council will soon be voting on whether to move forward with developer Enerlogics to add up to 700 kilowatts of rooftop arrays to various city locations at no upfront cost. “We’re proposing four very sizable solar panels at different city buildings — Lakewood City Hall and a nearby service garage, as well as a water department office building/garage in the Rocky River Reservation and Serpentini Arena Winterhurst Ice Rink,” Councilman-at-Large Tom Bullock said.
